Snow Days

DELAYED START POLICY
In the event of serious inclement weather, Little Flower School will follow all the directives and policies issued by the Washoe County School District.

When schools are closed or on a delayed start, announcements are made on the local radio and television stations, (preferably KOLO-Channel 8; KTVN-Channel 2; or KOH-780 AM radio). Efforts will be made to continue informing parents and staff utilizing the MSP communication system. You may also check the Little Flower School web site (www.littleflowerschoolnv.org), under the "School Announcements" section, for more information.

In the event of a serious crisis where evacuation of the school building is required, parents can pick up their children from Bowling Hall. This information may also be broadcast on television, radio, school web site and MSP.

In the event of a pandemic or other situation that may warrant widespread school closure, Little Flower School may follow the guidelines and recommendations, as applicable, of the Washoe County School District, or Washoe County Health Department.

Contingency days are provided for in the school calendar to make up for closed days.
