Students in sixth through eighth grade are eligible for membership in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). NJHS membership is determined by students having a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, outstanding character, strong leadership, and service to the school and community.
Academic Decathlon is open to students in grades six through eight. It is a competitive team in which membership must be earned through a knowledge test. There are 12 spaces on the team, 10 regular members and 2 alternates. Students compete against other diocese in ten academic events.
E.L. Wiegand Technology Program
Little Flower School offers amazing opportunities for student learning with technology. Thanks to generous grants from the E.L. Wiegand Foundation, the school supports a fully equipped MAC Laboratory, IPADS, Chromebooks, and Microsoft Devices for students. Third grade, second-third grade, and eighth grade are currently one-to-one device. Each classroom will be one-to-one by the fall of 2016.
Geography Bee is open to students in fourth through eighth grade. There is an annual school wide competition, state competition, and national competition. Training sessions are before and after school three days a week.
