For Prospective Families

Choosing a school for your child/ren is one of the most important decisions you can make in your lifetime, and it will have a profound effect on your child’s future. As a new Little Flower parent stated last year, “There are no do-overs in education!” Little Flower School is a place where we are dedicated to educating the whole-child and preparing the students for life today and tomorrow. With that said, it is important to know why people choose Little Flower School for their children.

A new opportunity for our school is that we have been accepted to participate in the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program that will focus on curriculum, instruction and assessment. This is an incredible opportunity for our aligning curriculum with high standards and to also enhance our students’ achievement.

  • Little Flower School has an established tradition of offering academic excellence in a Catholic school. While other schools are no longer offering art, music and physical education, Little Flower School recognizes that creative development is essential for student success in the technological world of the 21st Century.

  • Students at Little Flower School are taught good morals and service to others. They have opportunities to develop leadership skills.

  • The educational foundation of students has lead to great success in high school.

  • Little Flower has a safe and disciplined environment. Our faculty and staff have a wide variety of education and experience. Many of our faculty members have Masters Degrees in various educational disciplines. Ongoing professional development keeps teaching skills current. We have a caring community that gives individual attention to students. Our Apple computer lab is excellent, and students are taught to use computers in a responsible and effective manner. We are good stewards of the resources we have, always keeping in mind our goal to keep Little Flower School affordable.

Heide Johnson and Family had this to say
about Little Flower School:

"As a parent who has had the pleasure of working with the students, teachers, staff, and the overall parent community of Little Flower as a classroom volunteer, as a member of the Little Flower Parents' Club board, and as a substitute teacher, I can share with conviction that our school will be a wonderful fit for your family if your search is for an environment that will foster and inspire the overall developmental growth of your child.

Little Flower has provided my sons with a blend of academic excellence, moral and social responsibility, a spiritual foundation, and a rich and varied curriculum, provided in a safe and nurturing environment. Along with a solid and challenging core in mathematics and literacy, my children have thrived on an educational diet rich with science, technology, music, art, religion, physical education, and community service.

Little Flower has also offered a sense of community for our entire family. Over the last seven years, my husband and I have built partnerships with our sons' teachers, have benefited from open and supportive lines of communication with teachers, staff, and administration, have enjoyed the opportunity to take an active role in our children's education, and have made close and lasting friendships with other families.

We feel truly blessed to be a part of the Little Flower School family and would love to welcome your child and family to join our community!"

Two recent graduates summed up their experience. One wrote, “After I’ve been going to Little Flower for seven years and I’m now moving on to high school, I have had the opportunity to reflect and I realized how many memories and all of the things I’ve learned here…God is a huge part of my life and Little Flower is a great place to practice my faith. The education and grading system here has prepared me for high school and I know I’m ready for bigger and better things. The last thing I’ve gained from this school is the meaning of family; not by blood, but by the love we show each other. This school is such a close group of people that I wouldn’t want to call them anything else except my family. I love my family here at Little Flower and I’ve had the best seven years here.”

The second student wrote, “Little Flower has done so many great things for me. It has prepared me for many things that have happened or that are going to happen in my life. The teachers do a great job telling us about high school and preparing us for change. Little Flower School does a wonderful job teaching us about God and the story of Jesus’ life. The grading system definitely prepares us for high school because we have become so used to trying our hardest to get A’s and B’s, so in high school we will be able to take the challenge of the work. I have gained so many memories and so much knowledge. I am so thankful and so happy that I came here!”
