Alumni & Student Testimonials
"Now a senior on the Principal's Honor Roll at Bishop Manogue, I attended Little Flower from fifth to eighth grade. Little Flower played a significant role in helping shape me into the person that I am today. Little Flower inspired me to always apply maximum effort and work to my full potential in all academic activities and coursework. In addition, Little Flower taught me crucial study habits that I use in classes today and will carry into college. At Little Flower, I had amazing teachers that I believe I will maintain life-long relationships with and who provided me with a safe and nurturing environment. I really enjoyed the years that I spent as a Little Flower Colt."
Thank you Little Flower for all you have meant to me!

"In my life so far, I've attended both public and Catholic school. Don't get me wrong; public school is great, too. You get free dress 24/7. Also it's much easier to get an A grade on my report card, but then, I'm not being challenged. Uniforms keep me disciplined. It's kind of hard to be unruly when you're wearing the same plaid skirt as everyone else. Also, our grading scale presents a challenge for us. Knowing that a 94% or higher is the standard for an A grade, we tend to strive harder on our assignments and we take these skills and study habits with us throughout high school, college and the rest of our lives. There's one last factor that really sets us apart from everything else and it highly benefits us…religion.
In the years I’ve spent at (this) Catholic school, I feel that my relationship with
God has deepened. I understand how important it is to have God in my life. I no longer feel that
God is just a man in Heaven and I pray to Him when I feel like my life is taking a turn for the
worst, just as other people do. I consider God a special friend, someone whom I can pray to or
talk to and ask for advice. I know that He will always be there for me. I know when I'm
among people who are non-believers; I can teach them and spread my knowledge of God so they
learn to love Him as I do."

"Catholic school education can help better our society in so many positive ways,
because it provides a challenging, but positive learning environment and teaches good morals,
which can help children make the right decisions as an adult when they become more active in our
community."

"...Higher academic standards teaches the students how to work hard in what you do,
high graduation rates motivate the students to accomplish things, athletics are fun but also teach
student-athletes life lessons, strong moral values teach the students right from wrong with stories
from the Bible in Religion class."

“What I like about going to Little Flower School is that we keep God first in our lives.
We start our day with prayer and end our day in prayer. We are all different people but our student
body is strong and connected. I don't even mind wearing uniforms because we are all individuals
with our own strengths.”

"We are more challenged in our studies. With high academic standards, you can't
go wrong. It may reveal a challenge, but that's exactly what you need to go on to bigger
and better things in life…With God present in our lives, faith grows within us. Not just faith
in God, but faith in others and ourselves. …students apply faith to prayers, life and the future.
Faith molds us into what we are now and what we will become later as we grow…Discipline in huge... Here, we learn to be respectful and be responsible for our own actions. They expect us to learn and love each other for who we are because we are all made in God’s image."

"I can never forget my fantastic journey at Little Flower School. I learned so much
about myself and about my religion. The teachers I had taught me to never give up on what I believe in, and all the kids in my class were friendly. I don't ever remember being mad at any of my peers, and I thank God for putting those people in my life. My experience at Little Flower made me who I am, and I could never be happier about that. I am extremely proud of the person I have become, and it's all because of my time at Little Flower."

"Catholic schools…help children to be more at one with themselves and be happier
with the way they are. These things help kids be more successful in the real world...schools have
the number one advantage, Jesus. Jesus is the reason for all the success made by my peers.
Without him, there would be no success."
Daniel
"We are encouraged to be more involved in our communities and to give service
to those who need it and to help their lives become a little easier…We are given greater attention
from our teachers so that we can get help on a lesson we missed or if we are confused, our teachers
are always by our side to help us."
Christine
"When we are instilled with higher goals and expectations, eventually, we meet
the expectations set for us, then set goals of our own knowing we can do more. In all honesty,
children say that higher expectations are just a burden, but they really like having higher
expectations because deep down we know that you believe we can do it. And, that gives us confidence. It is with that confidence that we can strive for college and jobs like lawyers, doctors, or even politicians."

"... we students are like the apple on a tree that is picked and gets to really
see what life is and get to enjoy not being stuck on the tree, you get to see all of the ups
and downs of life, have good relationships with very friendly people. See the good in people, not the bad. If you try your best to see the good in people, then nothing is impossible. Little Flower School has helped me in so many ways. It has helped me get straight A’s, feel safe and cared for, and has been a place where I have met many amazing friends"
Thank you Little Flower!

"Teachers… care about each and every student. They want to help children do well
in math and science, literature, and art, as well as in life. If a student in a Catholic
school has a problem, she can be sure that the teachers and staff will be there to support her.
Catholic schools teach good conduct and how to love others, as Jesus loved us…come see for
yourself!"
