My name is Betsy Albert. This is my fifteenth year at Little Flower School and my eighth year teaching 1st grade. I have been in education for twenty-one years. I have taught kindergarten, first, third, and fifth grades. After a brief survey of intermediate grades, I realized that I enjoy working with 1st graders the most. I received my B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and my Master's in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada. In addition to teaching 1st grade, I will be teaching general music to grades K - 5. I live in Reno with my family and new puppies, George Theodore and Genevieve Rose.
Mrs. Josie Griggs will be our first grade aide this year. This is her sixteenth year at Little Flower School; thirteen of those were spent as the kindergarten aide. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education while in her native country, the Philippines. She taught there for four years prior to moving to the States. She has lived in Reno for the past twenty-one years.
If you have any questions or concerns about 1st grade, please feel free to email us at email@example.com. We are looking forward to a fun-filled year!
