Notes

All meals listed on the itinerary are paid for.  Students will need money for snacks and souvenirs.  I will be asking each person to contribute $10 each to cover the tip for the tour leaders.  The tips for the bus drivers are already provided.

Reminder:  any liquids going through TSA checkpoints are limited to 3.5 oz. or less (travel size).  Anything larger will be discarded.  Also, all liquids are to be placed in a 1 quart-size sealable plastic bag -- one plastic bag per carry-on

Remind students to pack for layers. Check the weather a day or so before we leave to get a better idea of weather conditions in DC and NYC, but, still, better to be prepared for all conditions.  DC can get cold at night, so I would suggest a jacket or a warm sweatshirt.  Also, an umbrella would be wise (allowed as a carry on after checked at security).  Hopefully, there will be time to swim at least one of the nights, so pack a swimsuit.

We will not be able to change clothes before the Broadway theatre, so it is not necessary to pack nice clothes.

A reminder, if students are bringing a backpack, they need to be aware that there are several places in DC where they must pass through a security gate.

Finally, if students have required medication they must take, I would strongly suggest that you give it to us to hold onto.  Along with the medications, we need written instructions of time and dosage from meds.  One of our staff members is specifically charged with being in charge of meds.
