Community Service At Little Flower School

Little Flower School students organize and support fund-raisers and donation activities to contribute to those in need in the local and global communities. During the 2011-2012 school year, the Student Council collected food items to provide Thanksgiving Dinner for school families who were in need at that time. They organized a collection of gift cards for several school families at Christmas. The students at Little Flower School participated in the Diocesan Catholic Social Services project by collecting snacks and personal hygiene products for the homeless in Reno.

The National Junior Honor Society held a bake sale to raise money for a 17-year-old boy suffering from Leukemia. In addition, free dress days were held to collect money to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation in order to show support for a LFS parent suffering from Leukemia. Globally, our school students provided a donation to Catholic Relief Services for the people of Japan after the earthquake and tsunami.
