Distance Learning Schedule 3rd grade
We will be using our usual school day schedule as we go forward.
We will be starting our day at 8:30 with a video conference where I will take attendance.
Students will be able to access daily conferences via a link that will be on Google classroom every morning.
We will be conferencing in the morning for prayer, announcements and Language Arts instruction.
Students will have time after our morning meeting to work on assignments, do required reading and also to take a short break.
We will meet again at 10:30 for Math instruction. During this time we will introduce the day's lesson and give assignments for reinforcement.
Lunch time is at noon.
I will have Science and Social Studies lessons on Pearson Realize, where students can view them after lunch and do related assignments.
We will meet once again in the afternoon for final attendance and to answer any questions, as well as a Religion lesson.

Every day will have Language Arts, Math and Religion.
Science and Social Studies will be twice a week each.

3rd grade has PE on Fridays!
Mr. Evans’ PE Routine and Plan
Students, I am hoping you are staying active as much as possible. I know during this time, it is hard to get into a routine of doing home exercises and practicing your sports. Nonetheless, we have to be innovative and creative.
Below is our outline for the week of March 30th for 30 minutes of scheduled PE. If this routine can be followed at least three other days, I am certain you will feel so much less stress and mentally you will feel much sharper.
Begin with 2 warmup laps around the edge of your yard – Run for approximately 2 minutes. Arm Circles Forward and Backwards with a Count of 10. Right arm across your body with a count of 10. Repeat it with your left arm. 3 Sets of 15 jumping jacks Touch your Toes with the right leg over the left leg in conjunction with a ten-count. Repeat with your left leg over your right leg. Now a 10-count with Saigon Squats followed by Quad Stretches with each leg. Finally, finish with lunges for each leg and again with a 10-count.
3 sets of running in place, high-knees – 10 seconds each 3 sets of side-to-side slaloms – 10 seconds each 3 sets of forward-backward slaloms – 10 seconds each 3 sets of 10 of jumps
PUSHUPS - Grades 5-8: 5 sets of 6; Grades K-4: 5 sets of 4 Mountain Climbers – 3 sets of at least 10 seconds each SITUPS - Grades 5-8: 3 sets of 15; Grades K-4: 3 sets of 12 WALL SITS – 3 sets of at least 10 seconds each
K-2: With a nerf ball play catch for at least 10 minutes (Work on Catching with full extension of the arms and stepping with the opposite foot while throwing.) 3-8: Play catch with a ball and glove or take a tennis ball or nerf ball and work on throwing and catching off the garage door. Play for at least 10 minutes.
